Snacks for days

If you need a snack, make sure it's the best fuel for your body. We know it's so tempting to reach for caffeine or a sweet treat for extra energy in the afternoon but after that quick jolt, your body will crash and you will have defeated your purpose. Even more importantly, the long term implications of eating those types of snacks are not great for a lifetime of good health. Is the quick "high" worth insulin resistance, weight gain, brain fog and fatigue? If the snack is more about boredom or needing a change of view, get up, hydrate with water or tea and move for 5 minutes. You're guaranteed to actually feel refreshed, your body will be so much happier and you will have improved your long-term health. Win, win!
